In times of multiple crises, it is natural to be cautious, perhaps even pessimistic. In Austria in particular, people tend to see the glass as half empty rather than half full. However, if governments, companies and private individuals are pessimistic, there will be no more investment, neither in infrastructure, industrial plants nor private consumption.
